‘Great Conversations’ to benefit Arts Council of the Morris Area

They say talk is cheap.

It’s not, really.

Exceed your allotted mobile minutes, and it can get pretty costly.

Former Yankees pitcher Al Leiter is among the hosts of Great Conversations, a benefit for the Arts Council of the Morris Area.

Great Conversations will set you back $175. Yet when you consider all the inane chatter you are subjected to, across multiple channels, almost every waking minute of every day, this may be a bargain.

How often do you get an opportunity for relaxed, intelligent dinner-table discussion with accomplished raconteurs–while supporting the arts?

This year’s fundraiser for the Arts Council of the Morris Area is scheduled for March 31 at the Madison Hotel.

The list of Great Conversationalists is impressive. There are mystery writers (Carol Higgins Clark) and experts unraveling the mysteries of cancer (Dr. Kenneth Adler, of the state commission on cancer research).

There will be chefs and theater people and journalists and sports figures (former Yankees pitcher Al Leiter and William Lovett, director of training for NFL officials). Chris Daggett, president of the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation and former gubernatorial candidate, will be on hand.

Here’s the full lineup. Have a look; talk it over!
