Watch too much television, and it’s easy to get carried away with gloom-and-doom predictions about the future of the Republic.

But then you meet someone like Morristown fifth-grader Callie Sundin. And you think maybe things will turn out okay after all.

This video follows Callie as she discovers, during an assembly at the Thomas Jefferson School, that she has just won the statewide InvestWrite essay contest. She is the second student of teacher Jeff Brown to win the competition.

You have to believe Wall Street will be a nicer place if Callie follows through on her dream of working there.
