It’s free, and residents can keep their cars off the streets until after the storm, or until 9 am on Thursday, Jan. 13– whichever comes first.

Here are details from the Mayor’s office:

FROM MORRISTOWN MAYOR TIM DOUGHERTY:

Beginning at 6 pm on January 11, 2011 Morristown Residents can park for FREE at the Ann Street, Dalton Street, DeHart Street Parking Garages, and for King Street Residents at the Vail Parking Deck for the duration of the snow storm which is expected to hit our area.

For the parking garages in which the gates are lowered, please take a ticket. When you move your vehicle, provide proof of your residency with your ticket and you will not be charged the parking garage fee.

NOTE: ALL VEHICLES MUST BE REMOVED AFTER THE DURATION OF THE STORM OR BY NO LATER THAN THURSDAY, 1/13/2011 AT 9AM, WHICHEVER OCCURS FIRST.
