Another annual holiday treat in Morristown is the Christmas Singers, a quartet led by June Van Thoen, music director at the United Methodist Church.
And a highlight of these lunchtime concerts is The Twelve Days After Christmas, a wicked sendup of that other song with the partridge in the pear tree.
We include it here for your enjoyment, with a couple of other selections that show off the vocal talents of June, Patricia Ruggles, Wayne Walters and a new addition this year, Darren O’Neill, who also is a gifted classical guitarist. Anita Gordon holds it all together on piano.
The yearly concert is a memorial to Jackie Wiley, a late member of the church. It is endowed by author and historian John Cunningham.
