“We’re thrilled to be able to provide the children we serve with warm winter shoes just in time for the holiday season,” said Joann Bjornson, executive director of the council, in a statement.

The Morristown-based council partners with churches and other agencies to provide shelter for the homeless. Earlier this month it helped organize Project Homeless Connect, a services expo for the homeless, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Morristown.

Interfaith will distribute coupons that can be redeemed for shoes.
