Ready or not, here he comes.  All the tryptophan in turkey land won’t keep Santa from making his triumphal return to Morristown on Friday. Ah, but the fun is just getting started!

FRIDAY:

Morristown’s first Walking Tour of Windows contest begins. Vote for your favorite shop window decorations and earn the chance to win a $100 gift certificate.

Santa Claus parachutes into Morristown at 6:30 pm, descending from the roof of Century 21 to take up residence on the Morristown Green for the next four weekends.

The monthly Critical Mass bike ride also rolls from Morristown town hall at 6:30 pm. What happens when cycling elves meeti the Santa festivities at the Green?  Saddle up and find out!

At 8 pm, our friend Grover Kemble, the guitar wizard, will entertain fans at The Minstrel in Morris Township along with jazz masters Diane Perry, Joel Glassman & Tres Sole with Frank Sole. Admission: $7.

Also at 8, it’s Manhattan Comedy Night at the Community Theatre in Morristown. Tickets: $25.

At 9 pm, our friends The Community will rock Morristown’s Famished Frog, with a little help from our friends in Universal Rebel.

SATURDAY:

The Christmas Festival on the Morristown Green opens for business with Santa settling into his house at noon to hear kids’ wish lists. At 1 pm, Marty’s Reliable Cycle will feature recycled bicycle ornaments, and electric train rides will commence. A local radio station visits at 3 pm.

Bret Michaels of Poison will perform songs from his new solo CD, Custom Built, at the Community Theatre at 8 pm. Tickets: $57 to $97.

And the humorous, harmonious Roches — three sisters and one daughter–return to the Sanctuary series at 8 pm. NOTE: This show has been moved to Chatham High School, at 255 Lafayette Ave. Admission: $25.

SUNDAY:

Santa is back on the Green from noon to 7 pm. (Photos with Santa: $10.) Electric trains rides run from 1 pm to 7 pm. And LEGO take-home crafts will be set up between 2 pm and 4 pm.

Moosletoe, a perennial favorite of the age 4-to-8 crowd, returns to the Community Theatre at 1:30 and 4 pm. Admission: $12.
