The Morristown Area Clergy Council will have an interfaith service of thanks on Wednesday night at 7:30 at the Morristown United Methodist Church. It’s free and open to all; a goodwill offering will be donated to the Community Soup Kitchen.

By the Rev. Neill Tolboom

Thanksgiving has become the on ramp for the Christmas season.  We consume great food, watch football and begin our annual consumption spree with Black Friday.  When do we take the time to gather and say thanks for the important things our lives; our friends, our family and our faith?  On Wednesday beat the traffic by leaving a little later.  Take time to gather with people of all faiths and simply say thank you to our maker.  We are preparing a place for you.  Bring a thankful heart and a warm smile.  All are welcome.

The Rev. Neill Tolboom is senior pastor of the Morristown United Methodist Church.
