N.J.’s Johnson & Johnson and Watson Pharmaceuticals partner over generic medicine

In April, the U.S. Court of Appeals denied an appeal by Johnson & Johnson to overturn a 2009 decision by a U.S. District Court in Delaware saying Watson was not infringing on Johnson & Johnson’s patent with it’s plans to make a generic version of Concerta.
In an effort to salvage its revenues from Concerta, Johnson & Johnson will now partner with Watson to sell an authorized generic until 2014.
