A 19-year-old illegal immigrant was indicted today on charges that he set fire to a crowded house on 50 Sussex Ave. in May after he was turned away from a party there, reports The Daily Record.

Fernando Inestroza, a Honduran, faces two counts of aggravated arson, the article reports:

According to court records, Inestroza was living at 52 Sussex Ave. at the time and was not welcome at the party next door. Police say he had been drinking alcohol and lit a piece of paper with a butane lighter to start a fire around 4:30 a.m. on May 16 in a plastic garbage can on a second-floor wooden deck at the rear of 50 Sussex Ave.

A firefighter was injured, though not seriously, while evacuating people from the burning building. The suspect is being held on $125,000 bail, the newspaper said.
