Morristown’s Naomi Cain, 12, starts our day with a pitch-perfect National Anthem

Some of us couldn’t hold a tune with a catcher’s mitt. And then there are those like 12-year-old Naomi Cain.

She was born with perfect pitch, according to her mom, Sinead. After hearing Naomi’s  rendition of the National Anthem–arguably, the most impossible song to sing in the western hemisphere–we know her mom speaks the truth.

Naomi performed Saturday at the annual Cutler Park block party in Morristown.

Sadly for us, Naomi’s voice will be delighting Kenyans pretty soon. Naomi’s dad Phil works for Virgin Atlantic Airways and the family is moving to Nairobi. We’re not too familiar with the Kenyan national anthem–but we know Naomi will do it proud!
