The Bandcycle road show got off to a pretty good start yesterday on Day One of its cross-country musical adventure, recording a mini-concert by Morristown singer-songwriter Steevan Mars for a future webisode.

Today, Dan Elliott and Maj O’Grady are pedaling to Trenton–heading in the general direction of Hurricane Earl.

They said they would welcome some soggy tailwinds after yesterday’s scorching ride from Manhattan.

But their van-mates, Michael Kortlander and Mike Mallette, wish they had departed Morristown sooner today. Like, five minutes sooner.

When they ducked into their hosts’ condo to fetch their gear…they emerged to find a $25 ticket on the van windshield. Their meter on Bank Street had just expired.

Let’s hope they have better luck with Earl.
