Irish-American group names Willie Quinn grand marshal of 2011 St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Morristown

It’s never too early to start thinking of St. Patrick’s Day.  The Irish-American Association of Northwest Jersey has named Willie Quinn as the 2011 Grand Marshal of the Morris County St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

“There is no one more deserving to receive this honor,” association President Bill Schoeck said via email Tuesday night.

Willie and his sons are talented bagpipers, which leads us to wonder if Willie will be piping instead of waving from the Grand Marshal’s car next March.

“It is with great humility that I accept the honor to be your Grand Marshal,” Willie told association members. “I would like to thank the Parade Trustees for bestowing this honor on my family and I.”
