The weather forecast is for a wonderful weekend to enjoy the outdoors. For those of us spending the holiday weekend in the Morristown vicinity, there are plenty of events to choose from that are sure to put you in the patriotic spirit.

Friday, July 2 from 6-8 pm
Red, White, or Blue Party for Young Professionals
The Side Bar at the Famished Frog, 14 Washington Street
Limited Number of Tickets: $10.00 at door, $5.00 online – A great networking event for young professionals. Fill the room with the spirit of independence  — you must wear red, white and blue! Drink and food specials up until 8 pm.

Saturday, July 3, 2010 from 10:15 – 11:15am
Patriotic Horse-Drawn Wagon Ride
Fosterfields Living Historical Farm, 73 Kahdena Rd., Morristown.
Admission to the farm is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors (65 and up), $4 for children ages 4-16, and $2 for children ages 2 & 3. Children less than 2 years and Friends of Fosterfields are FREE. Enjoy a tour of the farm in a horse-drawn wagon.

Saturday July 3 from 11:00 am – 2 pm
Morristown Tea Party
On the Morristown Green.
Members of the Morristown Tea Party organization will exercise their free speech rights to air grievances with the federal government.

Sunday July 4 from 8:30am – 2pm
Morristown Farmers Market
Spring & Morris streets, in Municipal Parking Lot 10, behind the U.S. Post Office in Morristown. Pick up fresh seafood, meat, cheese and produce — everything needed to make your 4th of July barbecue delicious!
