Here’s a chance for our community to come together to win a national contest!

During the month of June, Children on the Green, a child care and early learning center in Morristown will be competing with other “good ideas” from around the country for $50,000 in funding from the Pepsi Refresh Project.

Children on the Green seeks this grant to fund child care and preschool for families living in our local homeless shelters (as well as low-income families).  We are the only center in the area that reserves dedicated slots for these children, who are undergoing the stress of their families’ circumstances.  Especially now, as the need for quality preschool programs has gained recognition and more and more families are struggling economically, Children on the Green provides an important and much-needed service to families living and working in the Morristown area.

For Children on the Green—and Morristown—to win, we will need everyone in our community to help and it’s very easy.  All we have to do is log in to the Pepsi Refresh Project at www.refresheverything.com/childcareforhomeless and vote for Children on the Green once a day, every day in June.

Please book mark this page in your browser and tell your friends and family to put Morristown in a national spotlight as a caring community.  Your votes will support quality care and early learning for the most vulnerable among us and help at-risk children gain the foundation they need to succeed in school and in life.

Thank you for your support!

  1. Thanks JoAnn,

I hope everyone reading this will vote for our cause. Today we are at #187 but we need to be in the top ten to get funding.
