The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Morris County through 8:45 pm today, June 18, 2013. Strong thunderstorms may pack 40 mph wind gusts, and heavy rains may cause ponding on roads and rapid rises of small streams and creaks, according to the forecasters. Youth raise funds for mission trip in Father’s Day ‘Cicada Run’

Recycled bottle caps tell colorful story at Alfred Vail, Sussex Avenue schools
It’s called Save Our Planet, and if you look really closely at those butterflies on the wall at the Alfred Vail School in Morris Plains, you will notice they are made of plastic bottle caps–nearly 5,000 0f them. Like its sister mural at the Sussex Avenue School in Morristown, this five-panel creation grabs the eye with 11 basic colors.
