Two undocumented immigrants from Honduras were charged this week with sexually assaulting a Morristown girl over a six-year span that began when the child was 8, reports the Daily Record.

A grand jury on Thursday indicted Orlando Soto, 50, and Marcos Carias, 36, both residents of Morristown.

Soto was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, and eight other counts that included burglary for attempting to force his way into the victim’s home, the newspaper said.  Carias faces three counts of sexual assault, along with child endangerment.

Both men are being held in Morris County Jail in lieu of $150,000 bail each; they were arrested last summer.

A third man, Jose Bueso, 20, was sentenced last month to four years in prison after pleading guilty to abusing the same girl, reports the paper, which noted that Bueso also is undocumented and faces deportation to Honduras after serving his sentence

  1. ANYONE that rapes ANYBODY should make the news! The fact that these 3 disgusting men were illegal is relevant because if they were made to be legal they may not have been here to do what they did!

  2. I was raped by a native US citizen in Morris county when I was six. It would have been nice if that made the news.
