If your lawn furniture’s not frozen in place, better bring it inside.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for Greater Morristown from midnight through 6 pm on Monday, Feb. 13, 2017.

Northwest winds of 20- to 30 mph could gust to 50 mph, according to the advisory.

“Strong winds may blow down limbs…trees…and power lines. Scattered power outages are expected. Ice from the freezing rain and snow could exacerbate any problem with trees or power lines,” the weather service advises.

Driving may be difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles.

“Use extra caution. Light-weight outdoor objects such as patio furniture and garbage cans should be secured,” the forecast continues.

Although winds are anticipated to diminish by mid-afternoon, strong gusts still could persist into the evening.
