Editor’s note: Greater Morristown has gotten behind Hedda Sivertsson, an 8th-grader battling brain cancer, with turquoise ribbons, online fund drives and community jogs. Now the Morristown High School drama department is doing its part.

From MHS Theatre:

This March, the cast and crew of Morristown High School’s musical Legally Blonde think *Turquoise is the New Pink*!

The all-state award winning Morristown High School Theatre program has added a new date to its musical lineup, and members are celebrating it in a very special way.

The brand-new Thursday evening show not only gives audiences another opportunity to see the magical Legally Blonde, but it also will leave audiences feeling great because they will know that part of their ticket will benefit research and awareness of both brain and breast cancers.

For those that do not know, Hedda is an Frelinghuysen Middle School 8th grader. She is battling brain cancer. To make sure she knows that she is not alone in her battle, the entire company of the MHS Theatre Spring Musical has been sporting turquoise ribbons at school.

Not only does the cast and crew of MHS Theatre’s Legally Blonde think that turquoise is the new pink, but they’re proving it by donating 10 percent of the Thursday performance sales to both the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation (with funding supporting its brain cancer efforts) and the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Come check out this incredible show on Thursday, March 23, 2017 (at 7PM), to find a lobby decorated in turquoise and pink for these amazing causes!
