Greater Morristown offers plenty to do for this Martin Luther King weekend.

Celebrate 25 years of African American art in Morris County. Have an outer space experience with a record-breaking astronaut. Catch some political humor before things get serious on Inauguration Day.

And mark the birth of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. with services in Morristown.

Art in the Atrium Inc. celebrates its 25th anniversary with a Silver Soiree Gala from 5 pm to 9 pm at the Morris Museum in Morris Township. Hosted by NBC TV personality AJ Calloway, and featuring artist Barbara Bullock. Tickets: $75-$250.

The North Jersey American Revolution Round Table presents Edmund A. Moderacki, discussing the Baylor Massacre in Riverdale, NJ, at 7:14 pm, in the Washington’s Headquarters Museum Auditorium, 30 Washington Place, Morristown. Free and open to the public.

The  April Verch Band performs at  The Minstrel in Morris Township, with opener Brass Fedora (Christine DeLeon and Jeff Rantzer), at 7:30 pm. Admission: $10; ages 12 and under, free. At the Morristown Unitarian Fellowship, 21 Normandy Heights Road.

SUNDAY, JAN. 15:

The Morris County Winter Farmers Market runs from 10 a.m.to 2 p.m. at Morristown’s Alexander Hamilton School, where it will be every Sunday  through April 9, 2017.  It’s a joint effort of the Foodshed Alliance Farmers’ Access Network, Grow it Green Morristown and the school, at 24 Mills St.

The 32nd annual Martin Luther King Day Interfaith Breakfast, at 8 pm at the Hyatt Regency Morristown, is sold out.  But you may find a seat at the MLK service at noon, at Morristown’s Calvary Baptist Church on…10 Martin Luther King Ave.
