Video: Colonial Corner Sports fall 2016 roundup

The girls field hockey and boys soccer teams gave Morristown High School fans plenty to cheer about during the fall of 2016.

Philip Capuzzi and Charlie Brooks of Colonial Corner Sports give a nice overview of the entire fall schedule in this three-minute video.

It was the Colonials’ first county title in that sport in a quarter century.  With Olivia Graham and Callie Sundin returning next season, more success is likely.

The boys soccer team, meanwhile, compiled a 15-8-1 record and earned trips to the county and sectional semifinals.

It was a tougher season for the football varsity, which eked out only two victories for new coach John Power.  Injuries to a couple of key players did not help the Colonials’ cause, the broadcasters noted.

Our thanks to Phil, Charlie and Executive Producer Darren Gong — MHS seniors, all–for sharing their Colonial Corner Sports coverage.
