THURSDAY, NOV. 17, 2016:
Morris Arts and Grow It Green Morristown unveil the Gateway Totem Project–two sculptures honoring the town’s immigrants–at the Early Street Community Garden at 6:30 pm.
The History of Animation continues at 6:45 pm at the Morristown & Township Library, with Woody Woodpecker and other “modern art” stylings from the UPA studio. Doors open at 6:15. Light refreshments will be served. Free. At One Miller Road, Morristown.
The North Jersey Civil War Round Table presents its 12th annual Civil War Legal Presentation at 7 pm in the Haggerty Education Center at the Frelinghuysen Arboretum. Four attorneys will discuss legal aspects of Reconstruction. Admission: $5, first-time guests and students, free. At 353 E. Hanover Ave., in Morris Township (opposite the Morris County Library).
Morristown High School Theatre presents You Can’t Take It With You at 7 pm. Performances also on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Tickets: $8-$15. At 50 Early St.
Six-time Emmy winner Dr. Mehmet Oz, MD, will talk about health, wellness and better living at Morristown’s Mayo Performing Arts Center at 8 pm. Tickets: $29-$99. South Street Yoga and Nutrition will lead a short guided yoga/meditation prior to the show. At 100 South St.
FRIDAY, NOV. 18:
Morning Yoga with Munah Hayes returns to the Morristown & Township Library at 9:30 a.m. Free. Bring a yoga mat. At One Miller Road, Morristown.
The Woman’s Club of Morristown hosts its annual Holiday Bazaar this weekend, starting from noon to 8 pm at the Lewis Condict House, 51 South St. Admission: Free, light refreshments served. Proceeds support the Club’s charities and preservation of the historic Condict House.
The New Jersey Forum, a two-day exploration of Changing Attitudes Towards Preserving History and the Environment, starts at 2 pm with tours of the Morristown National Historical Park, with a reception at the Ford Mansion at 5 pm, and a 6 pm talk by University of Arkansas professor James J. Gigantino II about William Livingston and the Revolutionary Environment in New Jersey. Registration for Friday: $30. Panel discussions Saturday at the College of Saint Elizabeth in Morristown are $45; admission for both days, $65.

Celebrate New Jersey’s diner tradition with a traditional diner breakfast at the Morris Museum, which is hosting an exhibition about Garden State diners. Breakfast runs from 9 am to 11 am at the museum. Tickets: $10 for adults, $7 for children and seniors; includes admission to the museum. At 6 Normandy Heights Road, Morris Township.
The Atlantic Health System, parent of Morristown Medical Center, and the Presbyterian Church in Morristown host a screening of the PBS documentary, Being Mortal, at 9 am, followed by a discussion of end-of-life issues. Admission: Free. At the Parish House, 65 South St.
The New Jersey Forum concludes with panel discussions from 9:30 am to 5 pm at the College of Saint Elizabeth in Morris Township. Keynote speaker Dan Fagin will discuss his Pulitzer Prize-winning book,
Toms River: A Story of Science and Salvation. Registration: $45.

The 70 South Gallery opens Revolutionary Reflections, an exhibition of rock and roll and fashion portraits by photographer Roberto Rabanne. His subjects include to Prince, Muhammad Ali, Bruce Springsteen and Cindy Crawford. The show runs through Jan. 17, 2017. At 70 South St., Morristown.

The Morristown & Township Library hosts a reception at 2 pm for its exhibition of artwork by the late Mieke van Ommen-de Mos, whose life included internment by the Japanese during WWII. The exhibit runs through Jan. 8, 2017, on the second floor of the library in the F.M. Kirby Gallery. At One Miller Road, Morristown.
