THURSDAY, OCT. 20, 2016:

The Morristown & Township Library presents free screenings, at 2 pm and 7 pm, of Love & Friendship, an adaptation of Jane Austen’s novella Lady Susan. Rated PG. At One Miller Road, Morristown.

The Drew University Department of Theatre and Dance presents Hamlet at 7:30 pm, in the Thomas Kean Theatre at Drew, 36 Madison Ave., Madison. Tickets: $10.  Shows at same time on Friday and Saturday, plus a 2 pm matinee on Saturday. More information is here, or call 973.408.3030.

FRIDAY, OCT. 21:

dj macTo kick off the 100th anniversary of its “Willis Wing,” the Morristown & Township Library hosts a “Speakeasy’ reception” from 7 pm to 9 pm, featuring a disc-jockey spinning Victrola shellac records, a dance instructor providing lessons on 1917-era dances, an antique photo booth (with a modern twist), food, drink and more. For patrons aged 21 years and over.  At One Miller Road, Morristown.

Morristown High School’s football team will seek its second victory of the season at 7 pm in Livingston. Go Colonials!

SATURDAY, OCT. 22:

The Morristown & Township Library  offers two classes this morning. At 10 am, the North Jersey Sewing Circle meets for three hours.  At 10:30 am, it’s an Introduction to Tinkercad and 3D Modeling.     You’ll need to register for that one; call 973-538-2592.  Both classes are free. At One Miller Road, Morristown.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, which is exhibiting a rare copy of  the Bard’s First Folio this month, presents a 90-minute family workshop exploring the language of Shakespeare, at 10 am at the F.M. Kirby Theatre at Drew University. For parents and kids aged 9-15.  Enrollment is limited to 30 participants; register by calling 973-408-5600.  At 36 Madison Ave., Madison. More Shakespeare at Drew: Kimberly Rhodes, professor of art history, presents Seeing Saints in the Forest of Arden: Visual Art, Religious Themes and ‘As You Like It,’  from noon to 1 pm in the university’s Mead Hall. Free.

It’s been one year since the historic Kirkbride building at Greystone Park State Psychiatric Hospital came down. Preserve Greystone will reflect on its efforts to save the structure, its historical and architectural significance, and its legacy for other historic psychiatric institutions, at 1 pm at the Parsippany Library. The Morristown Farmers Market , back for its 26th season, continues every Sunday through Nov. 20 from 8:30 am to 2 pm, in parking lot 10 between Morris and Spring streets.

The Pi Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. and the Pearls of Wisdom Foundation Inc. host the 10th annual Morris Men Cook fundraiser, at the Skylands in Randolph from 5 pm to 8 pm. Professional chefs from Morris County will prepare special food and drinks, in a benefit for youth programs and scholarships for area high school seniors. Food, raffles, dancing.

The Presbyterian Church in Morristown presents its new Jazz Vespers service, at 5 pm in the sanctuary on the Green. This week’s soloist is Rob Middleton on saxophone. Freewill offering.
