You never know what surprises you’ll find at the annual rummage sale by the The Woman’s Club of Morristown.
For just one dollar, you can possess The Stripper, Music to Strip By, a vintage vinyl album. The illustrious Boston Baked Beans (remember them?) perform such classics as The Grinder, The Zip Strip, and Melody for G String, which may be of special interest to our friends at the Morristown Uke Jam.
If only the Woman’s Club were selling a record player…
The rummage sale starts with a preview party tonight, Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016, from 6 pm to 8 pm. The $10 admission gives you first crack at The Stripper, and all manner of household goods, toys, and garments including–surprise!!!–gently used lingerie to wear, however briefly, while playing your new record.
There is no charge to browse for the rest of the weekend. Hours are 9 am to 4 pm on Friday and Saturday, and 10 am to 2 pm on Sunday, at 51 South St., Morristown.
All proceeds support the Club, its charitable programs, and maintenance of its historic 1797 Condict house.
