The New Jersey VegFest will be held at the Morristown Hyatt on October 2. This first ever New Jersey VegFest will feature all vegan products and food and fill the Hyatt with speakers, local activists, foodies and the Cinnamon Snail Food Truck. Tickets are available online.
The featured speakers are
- Dr. Joel Fuhram, author of Eat to Live.
- Chef Adam Sobel, founder of the Cinnamon Snail Food Truck and restaurant and author of Street Vegan
- Erika Matthews, Animal Legal Defense Fund
- Jamie Kilstein, comedian and host of Citizen Radio.
- Liz Dee, Vice President of Smarties Candy Company and CEO of Baleine & Bjorn Capital LLC, Dee provides unique insights into the future of food, impact investing, and the shifting trajectory toward smart, sustainable and humane business models.
There will be also be a discussion with New Jersey community organizers, on how they are bringing vegetarians and vegans together and advocating for compassion and health in the garden state. The panel includes Steve Fenster from the South Jersey Vegetarian Society, Eric Nyman of wildflower earthly vegan fare in Millville and Rebecca Delanoy Winnicki, owner of Homemade Betty and member of PlantPure Nation. Yelp reviewer Alyson Dwyer will be giving us her thoughts on “Changing New Jersey Food Culture through Yelp Reviews: More Than Salad. The event will also include the movie Vegan: Everyday Stories.

Tickets are available for $39 and $25 (children under three are free). A vendor application can be found on our website and if you would like to volunteer you can join our SignUp event and choose one of 4 shifts.
Rooms at the Hyatt Morristown can be reserved for the VegFest.
