Morristown opens pool to residents; list of road closures

Morristown has opened the Burnham Park Pool to all town residents free of charge today, Friday, July 15, 2016, Mayor Tim Dougherty’s office announced.

Residents should bring photo I.D. as proof of residency.

As JCP&L continues working to restore power across town, police reported these road closures caused by downed trees and power lines from Thursday’s storm:

Washington Street westbound between Mills Street and Colonial Road.

Ridgedale Avenue closed between Abbett Avenue and Hanover Avenue.

Overlook Road is closed at Ogden Place.

Washington Avenue closed at John Glenn.

Market Street closed between Maple Avenue and Bank Street.

Colles Avenue is closed.

Burnham Parkway is closed at Washington Street.

Ford Avenue is closed between Franklin Street and Morris Street.

Georgian Road closed.

Chestnut Street closed.
