Video: Guitar sensation Shun Ng salutes the King of Pop

By Kevin Coughlin

Dyslexia isn’t always a curse.

If not for this condition, Shun Ng might be an engineer or computer scientist or a gymnast today.

He probably never would have picked up a guitar back in Singapore. And we never would have joined him on fantastic musical explorations like this one, at The Minstrel in Morris Township in January.

It’s the tune that opened Ng’s mind to the infinite possibilities of the fretboard.  Fittingly, it’s by another trail-blazer– Michael Jackson.

Happily for the world, Ng discovered a language — music– in which he can communicate more eloquently and profoundly than many who are not burdened with learning disabilities.

Mark this Friday, July 1, 2016, on your calendar.  Shun Ng returns as The Minstrel’s headliner. Plan on arriving early. This show should sell out fast.
