Another mass murder.  Another vigil.

Greater Morristown clergy will remember the victims of last weekend’s nightclub massacre in Orlando with an interfaith vigil at 8 pm on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, 36 South St., Morristown.

UPDATE:

An interfaith service will be followed by a candlelight procession to the Morristown Green, where names of the 49 victims of Sunday’s Orlando mass shooting will be read aloud.

Episcopal Bishop Mark Beckwith will speak, and others from churches, synagogues, mosques, and Zendos will add reflections and prayers.

“Gathering in this way gives all of us who are feeling the pain of what happened in Orlando a chance to be together and recognize that love is stronger than hate,” said the Rev. Cynthia Black, rector of Redeemer.

“This affects not only we who are gay or lesbian—it’s a universal sense of pain that we all feel.”

“Please keep your thoughts and prayers with the victims, their families and everyone impacted by this senseless act of hate and violence,” reads the invitation.

All are invited.
