Food collected in Madison, Chatham, Florham Park, Cedar Knolls, Whippany, Morristown, Morris Plains, Mendham, Dover, Rockaway, Mountain Lakes and Parsippany will be donated to the Interfaith Food Pantry (IFP), which serves Morris County.

Residents are asked to place non-perishable food items in a bag next to your mailbox before your letter carrier arrives on Saturday, May 14, 2016.

Some of the items most needed by the Pantry are shelf-stable- or powdered milk, pasta and sauce, macaroni and cheese, rice, peanut butter, tuna fish, canned soups, fruits and vegetables, cereal, and canned meats and meals.

The Interfaith Food Pantry provides emergency and supplemental food to Morris County residents in need from its Morris Plains and Morristown locations and through its home delivery program.

In 2015, the IFP distributed 492 tons of food and assisted nearly 10,000 people. If you or someone you know needs assistance, or for more information, visit www.mcifp.org or call 973-538-8049.
