Eric “Fluffy” Glover, Morristown’s popular movie ticket-taker, is a big man. And he’s chosen a big way to thank everyone who donated nearly $66,000 online to end his homelessness.

Fluffy and his part-time employer, AMC Theatres, are inviting the public to a free screening of  ZOOTOPIA at 7 pm on March 10, 2016. Popcorn and soda will be free, too.

All that they ask is that you make a donation to Homeless Solutions Inc., a nonprofit that has assisted Fluffy and many others in their time of need. AMC Cares will match all donations, up to $10,000.

Fluffy, the guest of honor, will greet you and help representatives of Homeless Solutions collect donations.

Space is limited, so reserve your free tickets here.

AMC Headquarters 10 is in Headquarters Plaza, at 3 Speedwell Ave., Morristown.

Fluffy, a 54-year-old former Morristown High football player and bar bouncer, blamed the illness of a relative for a homeless odyssey that spanned many months.  He tells us he has found a room, and things are looking up since a theater patron launched an online fund drive for him.

  1. I think it is a wonderful thing AMC is doing. It promotes awareness and helps an agency to help the homeless. Bravo AMC, and Bravo, Fluffy! Best of luck!

  2. I seriously wish that people would have donated to other unknown people within morristown that could just as badly use that money to get themselves off the streets and back into better situations. I am no beef with Eric but this is honestly a bit pathetic in my eyes that the public came together for a man just for his fame primarily. Yet have you all taken the time to try to run fundraisers or charities for the other homeless people you pass by EVERYDAY? Some of you whom even turn a stuck up nose to or spit on. Not saying many of you but there are that select few! Just saying… Rant over… All else side I am so very happy for you Eric Glover. I wish you the best for the future to come!

  3. Cute diversionary PR tactic, but the real solution is to pay fair wages and benefits so employees don’t NEED charities like these.
