THURSDAY, JAN. 7, 2016:

Order some jazz for lunch, with the Wade Jazz Trio at Music at Noon. The trio performs at the Morristown United Methodist Church, at 50 Park Place (on the Green). Suggested donation: $7 adults/$6 seniors.  Students are free. A light lunch is available for purchase before or after the show: $8 for adults and $7 for seniors and students. FRIDAY, JAN. 8:

The Simon Gallery hosts a reception from 6 pm to 8 pm for artist Robert Atwell, whose works will be displayed through Feb. 6, 2016.  At 48 Bank St., Morristown. Call 973 538-5456 for more.

Community forums on immigrant rights are scheduled for 6 pm and 8 pm at the Wind of the Spirit Community Center, 120 Speedwell Ave., in Morristown. The forums are in response to federal roundups of undocumented immigrants across the country.

It’s time for The Minstrel’s first monthly open stage of 2016!  Show what you can do, in a 15-minute set, or cheer for someone else who is showing what they can do. At 8 pm, at the Morristown Unitarian Fellowship, 26 Normandy Heights Road, Morris Township. Sign up here.

Wind of the Spirit will hold a community forum on immigrant rights at St. Margaret’s Church in Morristown at 8 pm. The forums are in response to federal roundups of undocumented immigrants across the country.  St. Margaret’s is at 6 Sussex Ave.

SUNDAY, JAN. 10:

The Morris County Winter Farmers Market has a new home, Morristown’s Alexander Hamilton School, from 10 am to 2 pm every Sunday through April. Organized by theFoodshed Alliance and Sustainable Morristown, the market aims to present up to 25 vendors of locally grown produce. On Mills Street.

The Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey presents Bach to Schumann at 3 pm at Grace Church in Madison. Pianist Rob Keiser will play Schumann’s Piano Concerto. Other selections, under the direction of Dr. Robert W. Butts, include Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto #2, and NJSO artist Kathleen Nester playing Vivaldi’s Piccolo Concerto in C. The Presbyterian Church in Morristown continues its Faith on Film series with a free 4 pm screening of Selma.  A discussion will follow the movie. At the church chapel, 57 East Park Place.
