Here are the 15 finalists for Morristown ONSTAGE! (formerly Morristown’s Got Talent!).
These amateur acts will compete at the Mayo Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016, in a benefit for the Morris Educational Foundation, which supports programs in the Morris School District.
“It’s going to be a really proud night for Morristown,” Molly Servais of the MEF said at last weekend’s auditions at Morristown High School, where some 60 acts from Morristown, Morris Township and Morris Plains tried out.
Last February’s show — the eighth annual competition — raised about $75,000, according to the organizers.
A panel of entertainment pros will award prizes of $1,000 to the top act aged 19 and over, and the top act aged 18 and younger. An Audience Choice award, worth $500, also will be voted on at the show.
Tara Bernie of NBC’s Access Hollywood returns for her third year as emcee.
Stay tuned for more about the performers. Tickets are scheduled to go on sale on Feb. 1 through the Mayo Center.
