A busload of people rolled from Morristown’s Bethel AME Church at 4 am Saturday, bound for the Million Man March in Washington, D.C., reports Councilwoman Michelle Dupree Harris.

According to Jesse X, chairperson of the Morristown Local Organization, “We are all on this bus with sober minds. We are not on the bus looking for people of the opposite sex. We are on this bus for truth, justice, and equality.

“When we return to our communities we will follow the plans to re-make our communities,” he said

Jesse X told Harris that the organization’s priorities are:

1. A prison re-entry program

2. Substance abuse referrals

3. A mediator program to solve problems within the community

4. A violence Intervention program
