THURSDAY, OCT. 8, 2015:
The North Jersey American Revolution Round Table presents Park Ranger Eric Olsen, who will discuss the war’s local impact. At 7:14 pm, in the Washington’s Headquarters Museum Great Hall, 30 Washington Place, Morristown. Free.
Morris Arts is hosting a free opening reception for Contrasting Abstractions, its 13th exhibit at the Gallery at 14 Maple in Morristown. From 6 pm to 8 pm.
The Downton Abbey Support Group reconvenes at 7 pm, at the Morristown & Township Library. British historian Dr. George Robb will discuss The Changing English Society of the 1920s. Free. Tea and scones will be served; costume periods welcome though not required. At One Miller Road, Morristown.

The Morris Plains Farmers Market winds down its 13th season, from 9 am to 2 pm. It’s on the Merchant Block, at the Speedwell Avenue extension, just before the train trestle.
Furnishing Solutions, the Homeless Solutions upscale resale store, marks its third anniversary with a sale from 10 am to 5 pm, at 2960 Route 10 W, Powder Mill Plaza West, in Morris Plains.

The Morristown Farmers Market celebrates its 25th season, from 8:30 am to 2 pm every Sunday through Nov. 22, 2015, in municipal lot 10. That’s behind the Morristown Post Office, accessible via Morris Street or Dumont Place. Organized by the Morristown Partnership, the market features 16 area farms and specialty vendors, with entertainment offered once per month.
