How can you help them safely navigate this online environment?

Several experts will share tips on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015, at Morristown High School.

Child psychologist Dr. Yalda T. Uhls, author of Media Moms & Digital Dads, will moderate a Q & A session with guest panelists Erica Hartman, supervisor of technology for the Morris School District, and Dr. Michael Giuliano, child- and adolescent psychiatrist at Morristown Medical Center.

The free discussion starts at 7:30 pm and is hosted by the Morris Educational Foundation, as part of its parent education series.  The high school is at 50 Early St.

Growing Up Online: The Facts About Raising Kids in the Digital Age

Morristown, September 18, 2015: The Morris Educational Foundation (MEF) will host the first part of its Parent Education Series on Tuesday, October 13 at 7 pm at Morristown High School, 50 Early Street, Morristown, NJ.

Dr. Yalda T. Uhls, child psychologist, research expert on media & children and author of the new book: Media Moms & Digital Dads will share her research on how digital media impacts the emotional, social & academic well being of children at home and in school.  She’ll share solutions on how to help children safely and productively navigate the digital world.

Dr. Uhls will also moderate a Q&A discussion between the parent community & guest panelists: Erica Hartman, Supervisor of Technology, Morris School District and Dr. Michael Giuliano, Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist, Morristown Medical Center.

This event is funded by the Morris Education Foundation in large part from a grant from the Rotary Club of Morristown. The Morris Plains Municipal Alliance Committee has also generously provided funding to support the program.
