Firefighters have been in the news a lot this year in Morristown.

They battled a deadly house fire on Pine Street earlier this month. In January, they braved bitter cold to control another blaze that could have taken out half of Morris Street.

So here’s a song for the firemen.

The Bravest is about heroism on 9/11.  But the sentiments apply to anyone who rushes into fire and smoke when everyone else is rushing out.

Video: ‘The Bravest’ by Tom Paxton:

Tom Paxton performed his song last weekend at the 40th anniversary of The Minstrel Acoustic Concert Series,  which he congratulates in his opening remarks on this video.
