Folk icon Tom Paxton is retiring from touring, which is too bad.  The campaign trail will miss him.

Here he aims a zinger at Donald Trump, and then dedicates a tune to all the Republican presidential candidates.

Let’s see if any of them adopt it as their campaign anthem…

Paxton performed this number, from his new album, Redemption Road, at The Minstrel Acoustic Concert Series 40th anniversary show last weekend.

The sold-out concert filled the Presbyterian Church in Chatham, home of the Sanctuary music series.

Stay tuned for more videos from the weekend, which included a Friday celebration by Folk Project members at The Minstrel’s usual digs, the Morristown Unitarian Fellowship in Morris Township.

And give a listen to our interview with Paxton, who reflects on a career that started with Bob Dylan and Dave Van Ronk and has continued with his songs being covered by everyone from Placido Domingo to Tiny Tim.
