America the Beautiful performed by the Four Old Parts; video by Jeff Sovelove

 

The Four Old Parts delivered a hymn that never grows old —  America the Beautiful –as part of the festivities at Saturday’s Revolutionary Times Independence Day festivities, which moved into the Presbyterian Church in Morristown to keep everyone’s powder dry.

Our thanks to Morristown Green contributor Jeff Sovelove for preserving these historic moments, which were organized by the Morris Tourism Bureau and the National Park Service.

The Four Old Parts are: Dick Floersheimer,bass; Jon Maizel, lead; Ken Hoffman, baritone; and Terry Scullin, tenor.
