Morristown’s Smartworld Coffee served rock and roll royalty on Friday.
David Crosby — Hall of Famer with the Byrds and Crosby, Stills and Nash–stopped in with his son Django for an afternoon pick-me-up prior to his evening solo acoustic show at the Mayo Performing Arts Center.
For the record, the 73-year-old singer, who wrote or co-wrote such classics as Eight Miles High, Guinnevere, Wooden Ships, Shadow Captain and Almost Cut My Hair, ordered a cinnamon muffin, two iced coffees and a box of cold-brewed coffee and paid with a $100 bill.
Crosby’s verdict on the cold brew:
“It’s terrific!”
We’ll fill you in on the concert in a bit.
