A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for Morris County through this evening, June 1, 2015, cautions the National Weather Service.
Showers and thunderstorms are expected as the day wears on, and downpours could produce up to two inches of rain in an hour, according to the forecast.
“If these amounts of rain materialize, dangerous roadway flooding would occur. This can be enhanced by any blocked storm drains,” the weather service says.
