There were no serious injuries, said Police Lt. Ed Conrads. The crash occurred just before 4 pm when a vehicle traveling eastbound on Columbia Road went through a red light, striking another vehicle that was turning left from Columbia onto Park Avenue, knocking that vehicle into the traffic stanchion, the lieutenant said.

Both drivers refused medical treatment, he said.

Repair crews are striving to have the Columbia / Park signal restored in time for Monday morning’s rush, Lt. Conrads said.
