Morristown’s Presbyterian Church announces Saturday Sandy relief trips to Shore

Since Superstorm Sandy, The Presbyterian Church in Morristown has been sending one-day and one-week work sandyparties to the Jersey shore help rebuild primary homes in these working communities hard hit by Hurricane Sandy.

The Presbyterian Church in Morristown sends groups on an ongoing basis to Union Beach, to help rebuild homes hard hit by Superstorm Sandy.

These homes are primary residences within a working community that remain uninhabitable. PCM’s Sandy Relief Task Force coordinates work days twice a month with leaders and projects specifically geared to each team. Anyone age 14 and older is invited to join the relief effort on any day.

The day trips work with our partner, Gateway Disaster Response Team, and PCM organizes bi-monthly day trips to the Jersey shore throughout the year. All are welcome to join the efforts. Upcoming Trips: May 16, June 6 and 20, July 11 and 25 and Aug. 22, 2015.

Sign up on the volunteer page for Sandy Relief.  A typical work day runs approximately from 9 to 5. We meet at the PCM Parish House (65 South St., Morristown) at 7:30 a.m. and carpool to Union Beach, returning to Morristown by 6 p.m.
