Don’t forget! On Saturday, May 9, 2015, Letter Carriers all over America will be collecting non-perishable food as they deliver your mail during the national “Stamp Out Hunger” campaign.

This is the largest one-day food collection event in the nation that provides millions of pounds of food to local relief agencies for distribution to families in need.

Simply leave your canned and unopened boxed goods in a bag next to your mailbox tomorrow and your letter carrier will do the rest! Most sought after items include shelf-stable or powdered milk, pasta and sauce, macaroni and cheese, rice, peanut butter, tuna fish, canned soups, fruits and vegetables, cereal, and canned meats and meals like Ravioli and Beef Stew.

In 2014, the  Morris County Interfaith Food Pantry served more than 5,000 households, or 11,400 people, and distributed more than a million pounds of food. Pantry clients are primarily low-income working families, the disabled, senior citizens living on fixed incomes and unemployed workers. For more information, visit our website.
