A Morristown man was seriously injured when his motorcycle was hit by a car on Sunday afternoon, police said.

Ryan Brennan, 40, sustained a possible compound fracture to his lower right leg and injuries to his face and left wrist after being struck by a 2008 Honda CRV driven by 75 year-old Florence Vavrek of Madison.

Vavrek received a ticket for failing to yield to an oncoming vehicle with the right of way, said police Lt. Stuart Greer.

Morristown police were assisted by police from Morris Township and by the Morris County Park Police. The Morris County Sheriff’s Department Criminal Investigation Section helped document the scene.
