Greater Morristown Area Community Residents Invited to Learn How to Honor Local Survivors and Remember Those Lost to Cancer
On March 26, 2015, local community members of Morristown, Morris Plains, Morris Township, Hanover Township and beyond will unite at an Open House to launch the Annual Relay For Life season and learn about exciting opportunities Relay for Life has to offer.
In 1985, Relay For Life began with just one man who circled around a track for 24 hours, raising $27,000.
Since then, Relay For Life has developed into a worldwide endeavor making a difference in over 5,000 communities and 25 countries worldwide.
The Relay For Life of Greater Morristown has raised more than $1 million throughout the past 10 years. Our goal this year is to grow even bigger and raise more funds to support the American Cancer Society’s mission of helping people stay well, get well, find cures and fight back.
On Thursday, March 26, between 6 pm – 8 pm., at the ShopRite of Greater Morristown (in the patio area) dozens of families, caregivers, cancer survivors, schools, companies, local organizations and individuals will ring in the new season with an Open House.
This Open House will educate people about Relay For Life, how to get involved, fund-raise and help save lives affected by cancer.

Relay For Life of Greater Morristown will take place June 6, 2015, from noon to midnight at Mennen Sports Arena in Morris Township. More details will be provided at the kick-off event. We look forward to seeing you there as we all take the first steps necessary for fighting back.
