If you missed last October’s Martian invasion of the Morristown & Township Library, here’s your second chance for some radio fun.

Raconteur Radio, which performed last Halloween’s re-creation of War of the Worlds, returns to the library on Friday, March 27, 2015, to present Doctor Who: A Staged Radio Play Parody & Themed Party.

Bring your costume, or just your curiosity.  The fun is free and starts at 7 pm, at One Miller Road, Morristown. Here is more, from the library:

MORRISTOWN, NJ— Attention Whovians! Don’t be left behind when the Tardis takes off!  Make sure you have your sonic screwdriver and psychic paper handy!  On Friday, March 27 beginning at 7:00 p.m., the Morristown & Morris Township Library will be the home of the fabled police call box and the setting for London, England, during the Blitzkrieg!  All Doctor Who fans, feel free to come in cosplay!  Participants are free to show off their creative minds by coming to the program in costume, but it is not required.   All of those new to The Doctor, come and experience the phenomenon first hand!

The radio play features real actors in front of a live audience, but also features theatrical lighting, period costumes, vintage commercials, Golden Age radio equipment, and extensive sound effects!   To top it all off, the night will also include an extensive display of Doctor Who memorabilia, including a range of Sonics, keys, blueprints, and fashion accoutrements from different seasons.  Come and join us for a special Friday evening performance (when the Library is normally closed) for what The New York Times has called “Family-friendly guerilla theatre” and what The Star-Ledger has labeled as one of the “7 best things to do” in New Jersey!

The performance features Jeff Maschi as Jack Harkness, Danielle Illario as Rose Tyler, Mike Jarmus as Dr. Constantine (and the Voice of Raconteur Radio), and starring Thom Boyer as everybody’s favorite time-traveling, humanoid alien.

This program is supported by the Friends of the Morristown & Morris Township Library.

Raconteur Radio stages theatrical presentations of classic and original radio plays for live audiences throughout the Tri-state area. For more info, visit www.raconteurradio.com.
