Need we say more about  A Taste of Morristown?

The first delicacy we encountered on Monday was served by a team from the new Jockey Hollow Bar and Kitchen. Plenty more palate-pleasers followed.

Some 30 restaurants were represented at the Hanover Marriott, along with 31 purveyors of wine, beer and spirits, said James Koons, organizer of this 13th annual Taste for the Rotary Club of Morristown.

Tickets were $60 apiece, and approximately 500 of them were sold, Koons said.

“Every penny we get tonight goes right right out to every one of out charities,” he said.

The local Rotary supports everything from Girl Scout programs to a battered women’s shelter. Computer literacy, cancer fundraisers, food pantries, police bicycle patrols, camps for disabled children, scholarships… the charity list is nearly as long and eclectic as the vendor roster.

Only one request for next year. Please, could the deejay ratchet down the sound by about 100 decibels?  It would be great to hear everyone’s culinary reviews.  😉

  1. It is a wonderful project for the Morristown Rotary. My dear deceased husband, David, started this project over 13 years ago. He would have been so proud to see it’s such a happening for Morristown an for Morris County!
