Morristown nonprofit Our Youth Their Future is offering three $500 scholarships to Morristown High School seniors and graduates. Here are details, from organization co-founder and Morristown Councilwoman Toshiba Foster:
Our Youth Their Future (OYTF) is proud to award scholarship opportunities to enable our youth to further excel in their future career through continuing education.
This year, OYTF will be offering one (1) $500 scholarship and two (2) $500 scholarships for “books.”
Scholarship Qualifications: Applicants must have graduated from Morristown High School or be in their senior year at Morristown High School “in line” to graduate in June 2015.
Determination for scholarship awards will be based on OYTF involvement, or other community youth related activity; academic achievement (cumulative GPA 2.5 or greater); and personal statement.
Scholarship award will be determined by the OYTF Scholarship Committee.
With college tuition on the rise, we feel it is necessary that students have resources such as scholarship opportunities to assist them in being able to purchase books that are a necessary part of their college curriculum.
