Authorities are searching for a knife-wielding man who they say cut an employee of the Dollar Store in Morristown after robbing the place on Sunday night.
The victim, a 28-year-old man, was treated for a superficial laceration to his neck by Morristown Emergency Medical Services members and taken to Morristown Medical Center after the 11 pm attack, reported Morristown Police Lt. Stuart Greer.
The unknown assailant was described as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a brown coat and black winter hat.
He entered the store at 75 Spring St. brandishing a knife, and demanded cash from the store register, the victim told police.
“The assailant then cut the victim on the neck with the knife before running from the store,” Lt. Greer said in a statement.
Morristown police detectives were assisted at the scene by detectives from the Morris County Sheriff’s Department Criminal Investigation Section.
