From the looks of these images by MG contributor Jeff Sovelove, everyone had a ball last weekend at Historic Speedwell — an Officers Ball.
It was part of the 2nd New Jersey Brigade’s re-enactment of a Civil War Christmas. The Vail House also was decked out for an 1860s Yule celebration.
Our thanks to Jeff for his usual superb job of capturing all the excitement.
The civilian dancing in the video is 9-year-old Elia of Morris Township. She told Jeff she really enjoyed it, and we can see why.
