If you were alive in the 1970s, you could not have missed Jonathan Edwards‘ ubiquitous Sunshine (Go Away Today) .
If you arrived later, now you can get caught up.
Edwards is headlining on Friday, Nov. 21, 2014, at The Minstrel in Morris Township. This promises to be a doubly memorable evening — the 8 pm show also features Lucy Kaplansky.
Math was never our strong point. Maybe if Lucy had sung A Song About Pi to us, we could balance a checkbook today.
The song was co-written by her father, Irving Kaplansky, who taught math at Harvard to musical satirist Tom Lehrer, among others.
Tickets for this show are $30 in advance, $35 at the door. (The special online price ends at 11:59 pm on Thursday, Nov. 20.)
You can do the math; either way, it’s a two-fer that should add up to great fun.
The Minstrel is at the Morristown Unitarian Fellowship, 21 Normandy Heights Road in Morris Township.
